It's rare solutions come to my attention that absolutely change the way I do things in profound ways. Or that are things I implement long term.
Here are two cases that has happened..
1) Jing - Free version works perfect for me.. it's all I need. It simply gives you an awesome way to quickly create a screenshot or short video to share with others via a link it creates in just a minute or so online.
It's a desktop application.. and you can save the videos and screenshots to your desktop (or access them online later). But I use it if I'm working with someone and we run into a situation where it's hard to just explain what I'm talking about. So in literally seconds I can start recording and have (audio included) a video for them to watch.
I had a situation yesterday where I was asked to explain something I was referencing with a piece of software - to help them improve some functionality.. instead of trying to explain it with plain text, I simply recorded audio/video and shared it with them online. Jing produces it and creates a convenient link (already added to your computers clipboard).. online. VERY useful!
Shared something with one of my VAs the other day. They had trouble understanding what I was referencing in my FTP client. I simply made a minute video showing them.
2) Dropbox - Perfect if you are outsourcing! You can share and collaborate documents with ease.
It's such a pain to have to always upload a file or e-mail a file.. and if you don't grab it right away you're trying to sift through e-mails to find it again. And then you have to file it somewhere.. with dropbox you're good to go. Just add it to a shared folder and in minutes it appears as a reflection in theres'. Synched. And vise versa!
I have one person writing articles for me and simply adding them to folders in dropbox. Very convenient and I always know where they are! And I can see how they are doing over time.
Another person we work on niche research together.. he does certain steps of the research and it's instantly updated so I can continue where they left off. This same person does backups of some of my niche sites on a regular basis and keeps them in the dropbox. I've given him software through it..
So many uses!
These two tools have, combined, saved me a lot of time and help me better communicate with others around the world in an instant!
Hope you find them useful in your own business!
Good luck!
