This lesson wraps up the series! So far you've learned:
And now...
FIVE: You build your niche website around the keyword(s) you've uncovered! Monetize and apply your SEO skills.
There are a whole lot of solutions online for building niche websites. Some are better than others in the 'easyness' department. And some do better out of the box in terms of bringing traffic to your website.
The #1 thing I would recommend is building your sites using a Content Management System (CMS) framework. These type of solutions are much, much easier to manage once they are set up. Instead of having to FTP using a desktop editor every time you add content, you just log into a web based interface and do it.
No HTML.. No Coding.. Just posting content like you're doing below this post in the comments. ;)
Fast and Secure.
They also bring with them built in things to help you drive more traffic like RSS Feeds your visitors can subscribe to or automatically pinging systems to alert directories that you've posted new content.
There are only two solutions I use to build sites..
>> Wordpress
>> Joomla
Now Joomla I wouldn't necessarily recommend for someone starting out or if you are just building a small, tightly focused niche site that just needs some basic functionality and layout options. It's a full-featured CMS with a lot more flexiblity and power in design and layout. Which isn't always necessary. I use it mostly for more central, authority sites (like you are on right now) or for private membership areas that can utilize the layout abilities.
When I do use Joomla I use an excellent source of templates and support found here: Rocket Themes Template Club. Like I said you get excellent support, incredible templates and even special setups that automates the initial design and setup (complete with starter content and modules placed default for that specific template - called a Rocket Launcher). I don't build Joomla sites any other way or using any other source these days.
For most of you though, or for most niche sites, Wordpress is an excellent option. It's not just a Blogging platform anymore! Over the last several years it's really grown up and is now a great CMS on it's own. You can develop it as a regular site and/or blog. There is much more control in terms of layout and thousands of plugins to help you do just about anything including plugins to better optimize and SEO your site.
It's exactly what I teach to use at Affiliate Dynamo to build Affiliate Niche Websites. Dynamo is a membership with a very specific focus. I help individuals learn everything they need to know about building Affiliate Niche Websites using Wordpress as the platform.
Your goal is to SEO (Optimize your site for search engines) your site and build traffic. The keywords you have chosen should be naturally built into your website.
>> Optimize pages targeting those keywords. Build those keywords into your page Title, Headlines, Meta Tags and content. (do it naturally though.. don't over optimize)
>> And do your off-page optimization. Build links with anchor texts using your keywords pointing to your website from relevant sources. Build links in general.. and implement other efforts to give your site more exposure so people link to you naturally.
To learn more about the basics of Search Engine Optimization, I recommend starting here: SEOMoz's Free SEO Tutorial. Not only will you find a lot of great information on that page, but links to a lot of incredible resources about SEO.
If you combine that knowledge, with what you've learned in this series and build it all on a great platform like Joomla or Wordpress, you'll be well on your way to building a highly profitable network of Niche Websites.
Some want to skip parts of this process out of laziness, but THAT is the very reason they don't find the level of success they deserve. I suggest to take each step seriously; master them (or outsource to others that master them for you). And become a Niche Website Building Dynamo! :)
I hope you found this information helpful.
Good Luck with Your Niche Marketing Projects!
