Benefits of Being an Authority in Your Niche

I want to talk little bit today about the benefits of becoming an authority in your niche..

First of all, it doesn't matter how big your site is or how small. It doesn't matter how wide or narrow your niche. Every site on the Internet can position itself as an authority whether that's being an authority on a specific product, method, topic, industry or market... just about anything.

You could be selling toothpicks and build a site with authority - yes, even as an affiliate!

What becoming an authority does for you is help you attract important things to your website and business. It helps attract money in the long run.

It can attract traffic by having others linking to you naturally, writing articles about you, recommending to check out your content or a myriad of other things.

It can attract and build readership; a following. Individuals will bookmark, grab your RSS feeds, follow you on Twitter, Facebook, join your e-mail list.. they will become loyal, raving fans if you have good content from an authority perspective.

And it can also attract business partners and friends. You can create a bond with others doing the same things or similar to what you are doing -- and you can support and help each other out.

People are attracted to other authorities; be one!

So those are some of the benefits...

So today sitdown and consider that in the niches that you're in. Figure out ways that you can establish yourself as an authority in that niche.

Does your content scream authority? Can you show that through proof? Social proof?

Would you buy from yourself? Listen to you? Would you perceive yourself as an authority?

Are people responding to your content? Leaving comments? Agreeing with you? Thanking you? Asking for help? Good signs...

Step back and assess that in every niche you're in, because it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that people buy from those they trust, admire and follow. They take action on the recommendations of those that add value and authority.
